Rainy Day Fun

This morning the Sparrows attended assembly with the rest of lower school. Our assembly was focused on the work of Martin Luther King Jr. 

Following assembly, the Sparrows came back to the classroom where they were greeted with a surprise! Sitting on the rug were their third grade buddies! The partners read stories together.

Once our time with our buddies was over, the Sparrows joined together in a circle for morning meeting. After that, friends entered into choice time. During choice time, friends took turns working on a project, which will soon be displayed on our gallery wall. Friends also worked on their January self-portraits.

Since we were not able to go outside today, friends had a dance party, where they got to dance and listen to their favorite songs.

We had lunch, and then a couple surprises! After lunch, the Sparrows walked across the hall to kindergarten to make some music and sing songs together! Following that, we got to have some special play time with the kindergarteners between the two rooms!
