More clouds, New chart and Bear patterns

Yesterday, Alicia read a funny story about the adventures of a chihuahua dog named Skippyjon Jones.

After Spanish, the Sparrows started a new art project based on the observation of the trees on our walk around campus.

We used watercolors; brown, blue and green to paint the background of the scene. Next, we will create our trees.

The Sparrows enjoyed this activity. Friends used fine motor skills holding the brush and hand-eye coordination while they were painting the background.

Today, the Sparrows practiced their fine motor skills cutting out the outlines of the clouds that soon we will display in our classroom.

During choice time some friends played in the sandbox,

and some of them built towers and shapes using magnatiles.

Snack is a very popular part of the day for our friends, especially when bagels and cream cheese are on the menu.

Fun and creativity never ends with magnatiles. Here a group of Sparrows are building a castle for their "lovies."

Our friends continued decorating the clouds during outdoor play,

Here, friends are using big wooden blocks to build a bridge.

Back in the classroom during morning meeting. friends learned about our new weather chart. By the end of the month of November, we will be able to count how many sunny, windy, rainy, snowy or cloudy days we had during that month.

Finally, the Sparrows ended morning meeting with a math activity. Using plastic colorful little bears, the Sparrows practiced creating patterns.
