Celebrating Peace

Today we had Meeting for Worship in the classroom. After the moment of silence, the children listened to a book about Peace, since today the whole school was celebrating Peace.

It was so nice to hear all the compliments that the Sparrows said to each other when we played a game about friendship.

Sometimes expressing our feelings can make us feel shy but these kinds of games help us open up.

The Peace workshops that the kids participated in today were: painting, mandala coloring yoga-dancing and jewelry making. A group of Sparrows chose painting.

After the peace workshops and our whole lower school sing along, the Sparrows came back to the classroom for choice. Choices were: playdough, drawing, magnatiles and trains. Some Sparrows continued working on their sea creatures.
