Sunshine fun and magic letters

After Meeting for Worship the Sparrows enjoyed a literacy activity.

At first, each Sparrow partnered with a friend. Then, the teachers provided them with a variety of wooden pieces to make letters.

Next, the teachers called out letters and the kids worked together to form each one. After a few letters, the children were free to create letters of interest to them.

This literacy activity was a great and fun exercise that helped friends to recognize their letters, sound them out and trace them.

During this exercise, the Sparrows practiced their social and language skills by sharing the pieces and  cooperating together in assembling the letters.

The Sparrows were very proud of their accomplishments!

During choice time, some friends chose to build with train tracks.

Some Sparrows chose to sit and "read" books.

Today the kids enjoyed the day outside, climbing, running and playing chasing games.

A group of Sparrows worked together in the construction of  a "choo choo train"using big blocks.

After  a while, the "choo choo train" turned into a nice place to relax.

It was a beautiful day for the kids to exercise their gross motor skills,

and social skills.
